Chablé Tezcalame

Cancún, Q.ROO, MEX

2025

Tezcalame is a mountain cabin-style hotel project, whose landscape design was inspired by the sun’s phases—sunrise, zenith, and sunset—influenced by the site's natural surroundings. This conceptual approach guided both the vegetation palette and the look and feel of the hotel's outdoor spaces. Key species were selected for their colors and symbolic resonance, including Cassia fistula (Golden Shower Tree) as the main tree, Hibiscus elatus (Mahogany Hibiscus), Codiaeum variegatum (Crotons) in orange and red tones, Spathodea campanulata (African Tulip Tree), and Bougainvillea glabra in vibrant orange. These choices brought warmth, dynamism, and a clear conceptual identity to the overall landscape experience.
