Hacienda Nayara is a project rooted in the preservation of its lush existing vegetation. The design was guided by three core concepts: vegetal portico, harmony, and vestiges. 

These ideas materialized through a network of pathways that meandered between existing trees, creating natural archways that filtered sunlight in dynamic and poetic ways. 

To enhance these living corridors, vanilla orchids (Vanilla planifolia) were proposed to climb the trees, forming fragrant green curtains. This not only enriched the sensory experience of the site but also introduced the potential for local cultivation and trade of vanilla.
